    Overview

    BAL is seeking a Client Immigration Representative to be located onsite.

    Under the guidance of a partner or senior attorney, the Client Immigration Representative is responsible for efficient onsite coordination of various employment based visa processes and in assisting with the hiring and retention of foreign nationals while achieving full compliance with government laws and regulations.

    Responsibilities

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES (Under the supervision of a partner or senior attorney):

    • Key onsite representative for BAL to assist the client with program operational efficiency by:
      • Triaging requests in a timely fashion and recognizing urgent issues.
      • Timely case initiation and providing timeline expectations to employees, managers and other key internal stakeholders
      • Providing status updates to employees via email, telephone and in-person.
      • Coordinating and owning immigration administrative requests from employees and BAL
      • Providing the Immigration law firm’s legal team with relevant information to start/continue cases
    • Work on own initiative to progress daily caseload and query volume and engage BAL or client as needed. Ability to switch focus and priority is essential due to fast-paced environment.
    • Consult with recruiters on straightforward cases and new hire initiations.
    • Working with BAL attorneys to gather metrics about case volume, number of visa transactions and the number of individuals in each stage of visa processing.

    SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES (Under the supervision of a partner or senior attorney):

    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    Skills and Abilities:

    • Extensive knowledge of US immigration laws, regulations, and procedures
    • Familiarity with global visa laws, regulations, and procedures
    • Experience working on a high volume, high touch immigration program.
    • Ability to function well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships
    • Proven track-record of effectively managing processes/programs and delivering projects in short timeframes
    • Ability to deal effectively with individuals at all organizational levels
    • Excellent verbal and writing communication skills
    • Commitment to providing exceptional client service
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
    • Acute attention to detail
    • Commitment to excellence and high standards
    • Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
    • Creative, flexible, and innovative team player
    • Sensitivity to confidential information

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 1 year of immigration experience; preferably 2 -4 years’ experience 
    • Experience in global relocation a plus

    Minimum Education Level:

    • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
