    Job Summary:

    As a Business Development Representative, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our client base and increasing profitable revenue by pursuing new business opportunities and maintaining strong relationships with clients.  You will be responsible for planning, managing, and executing the acquisition of new accounts, participating in networking functions, and assessing customer needs to effectively promote our services.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities:

    • New Business Acquisition:  Proactively pursue and acquire new business opportunities to expand our client base and increase profitable revenue.
    • Meet and Exceed Revenue Goals:  Utilize strong sales and negotiation skills to close deals and secure contracts.
    • Prospecting and Customer Needs Assessment:  Prospect via emails and phone calls, through a variety of lead sources such as Business Journals, Data subscriptions, LinkedIn and similar. Schedule in person and virtual meetings. Assess customer needs and effectively communicate the value of our services to prospective clients.  Gain commitment and close the sale.
    • Client Relationship Management:  Maintain relationships with established accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and retention. Keeping clients informed of new offerings and enhancements. Oversee and participate in annual business reviews, RFP’s and similar activities.
    • Networking:  Actively participate in networking events and industry functions to build a robust professional network.
    • CRM Utilization:  Utilize and consistently update the customer relationship management database, ensuring accurate and up-to-date client and prospect information. Record Selling Activity, Preferably daily, but weekly at most. Utilize follow up functionality.
    • Collaborates with Executive team, Client Services and Temporary Housing Specialists team to develop strategies for revenue growth, client retention and overall business objectives.
    • Territory Management:  Efficiently manage a sales territory and/or assigned prospects and clients to meet and exceed sales targets and keep core inventory occupied.
    • Participates in Sales Meetings and other Staff Meetings as required/needed.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Proven track record of success in business development and sales, preferably in the corporate housing, business travel industry or related business to business sales role.  
    • Bachelors’ degree in business or related field is a plus.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • Sales Strategies:  Knowledge of effective sales strategies, including prospecting, lead generation, and closing techniques.
    • Financial Acumen:  Understanding of financial principles and the ability to analyze sales data, budgets, and forecasts to drive revenue growth.
    • General Software Applications and CRM Systems:  Proficiency in using Customer Relationship Management systems (CRM), to manage client information and sales pipelines. Proficiency with Outlook, Microsoft Teams.
    • Sales Skills:  Exceptional sales and negotiation skills to secure new accounts and maintain client relationships.
    • Communication:  Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Strategic Thinking:  Strategic planning and decision-making skills to develop effective sales strategies and adapt to changing market conditions.
    • Results-Driven:  The ability to achieve revenue goals, monitor progress, and adjust strategies as needed to meet targets.
    • Customer Focus:  A customer-centric approach to assess client needs and provide tailored solutions.
    • Time Management:  Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks, manage a sales territory and balance prospecting and account management.
    • Team Collaboration:  The ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and finance.
    • Travel:  Willingness and ability to travel as required for client meetings, industry events, and territory management.
